Vetements pour l'hiver/Winter Wear

Message par Scrappy_doo »

What kind of winter cloths do you wear? Choko? Vortex? Mustang? Pro Max? CKX? FXR? HJC? Scott? ect.

How much $$$$ did you pay?

Where did you buy? (Dealer, Canadian Tire, Walmart, L'Equipeur)

What is it Rated for -10,-20,-30,-40?

1 Peice or 2 Peice?

What do you wear under your suit?

Do you like your choice?

thank you!

I wear unbranded stuff from the military surplus. Total cost under 300$. Kit includes military gloves, military boots and some random name pants and coat (Big Al I think, same company that makes work clothes). I do wear a couple of layers under (underpants and a pair of sweat pants for legs, a longsleeve or two for chest/arms --- when it gets extreme I use one of those chest vests) when it gets real cold but this kit never deceived me.

It's been tested this weekend at -25 (prolly -40 with windchill) and I kept warm all over. Kit looks descent too, pants/coat are dark blue, boots/gloves are white.

I put the 1000$+ I saved on wheels/tires :)

I wear Choko from the dealer, too warm to keep closed all the time. Underneath I usually start with a layer of long johns, then sweat pants, turtleneck then top sweater under the suit.

Biggest pain is driving the 1.5 hours to the club then dressiong in the parking lot :-)

I also wear wool socks (my Mom makes me a few pairs evey year for Christmas) and the feet stay warm.

After wearing some hand-me-down, I finally bought my wife a suit as well and now she is noce and warm (hates the look of the Michelin man, though) :-)

Gotta love this winter riding, eh?

I was going to ADM to buy my suit but on the way i stopped at a dealer and found what i was looking for i guess i should have kept going to ADM. i really wanted to buy the Choko suit but i purchased a Vortex 2 piece suit cost $550.00.

i just buy a EXR choko coat for 213$ 15% off for b day , not as much than expected

most of 2 pices suit was around 300 and 500 for choko
for an angora is around 700 for cloth and 1000+ for leather (not cheap !!)

but the vortex is , i think , equivalent or better than the choko
